Much like the golden thread that Ariadne gave to Theseus in the labyrinth, or Rapunzel’s hair, this braid symbolises the trail of thought or action that could deliver us from the madness of our time – an escape route, the way out. The largest of the bowls contains physical shreds of every single twin bowl – both in its own make-up and the shards of its twin that is contained in its belly. Visitors are invited to dedicate and break their own set of bowls and add it to the constellation. Art Component

This image echoed in my mind when I read this poem by….., translated by Antjie Krog – It is my offering to all of them, the spirits of those animals, towards re-wiring that string.
